Winni’s Winners Spring 2025

Hello and welcome back!
Spring has finally sprung, and I’m excited to share a fresh new blog with you all! In this edition, I’ll be diving into some of my recent “winning” experiences along with some gardening updates and a few beauty products I’ve been loving lately. So, Let’s jump into the season

A Solo Art Adventure – Van Gogh & Monet Come Alive

Back in March, I took a solo trip to the Beyond Exhibitions featuring the works of Van Gogh and Monet—and wow, what an experience! I’ve always been drawn to these artists for their stunning use of color and the way they capture the beauty of nature. Seeing Van Gogh’s iconic pieces come to life—larger than life, set to a backdrop of classic music—was both peaceful and breathtaking.

And guess what? You're in luck! The exhibition is coming to Charleston, SC from July through August. If you’re nearby or planning a trip, this is an absolute must-see. You can grab your tickets here:

Trust me, it's an experience you won’t forget!

Spring Break Sunshine – Pensacola Beach, Year 3!

We kicked off our spring break with a familiar favorite—Pensacola Beach—for the third year in a row! But this time, we switched things up and went during spring break instead of the usual hot summer months. And let me tell you, it was such a nice change!

The weather was perfect—warm enough to enjoy both the pool and the beach without the intense summer heat. Everything felt just a bit more relaxing and comfortable this go-around, and it made the whole trip even more enjoyable. Pensacola continues to be one of our favorite beach spots!

Spring Gardening – Blooms, Surprises & a Few Bumps:

This spring brought a mix of beauty and surprises in the garden! My peony bush absolutely exploded with blooms this year—but of course, I missed them at their peak since we were away in Florida. (Timing is everything, right?)

On a less cheerful note, my tulips didn’t bloom this season—just the leaves came up, which was a bit of a bummer. But nature had a surprise in store… I found one random budding bloom on a hydrangea I was convinced I had pulled up last year! Never say never in the garden.

I also went ahead and planted another peony bush (yes, I know fall is the ideal time, but I couldn't resist), and it’s already starting to sprout! I’m feeling hopeful and excited to see it come into full bloom next season. Gardening always has its ups and downs, but the little wins make it all worth it.

Beauty Winners – My Current Must-Haves!

I’m so excited to share a couple of products I’ve been absolutely loving lately—both for hair and skin!

First up: Vigor Hair Oil by my cousin!
This oil smells amazing and is packed with ingredients that not only nourish your scalp but awaken your senses, too. It’s the perfect addition to my summer haircare routine—especially with the heat and humidity creeping in. I’m thrilled to support this small business and see how beautifully it works on my hair. You can check it out and grab a bottle here:

Next, for my face: Eminence Organics Bright Skin Cleanser
I’ve shared my love for Eminence products before, and this cleanser is another standout! I’ve been using it nightly, and it gently removes makeup without stripping my skin. The best part? It has truly “brightened” my complexion, just like the name promises. If you’re looking for a glow-up in your skincare routine, give this one a try:

Winners I’m Looking Forward To!

Spring and summer always bring fresh energy—and I’ve got a few exciting things on my to-do (and to-enjoy!) list that I can’t wait to dive into:

  1. Painting my front porch chairs – I’m so behind on this project, but I know they’ll look amazing once they’re refreshed and ready for porch-sitting season!

  2. Starting a small butterfly garden – I’ve been dreaming of creating a little pollinator-friendly space to welcome some winged visitors.

  3. Planting watermelons again – This was such a fun experience last time, and I’m ready for round two. Fingers crossed for a juicy harvest!

  4. Reading more – Slowing down with a good book is one of my favorite ways to relax, and I’m setting aside more time to make it happen.

Here’s to checking off these little “wins” in the coming months!
